be expensive.) We consider
leather not to
be
the best long term seating option due to the harsh Australian
environment. The leather used is UV treated to stand our ever changing
weather. However the
water repellent quality and suppleness tend to deteriorate over time
and do not have very good
heat stress and moisture absorption qualities, in order to retain it's
suppleness it is necessary to regularly maintain leather to minimize
any
heat stress and moisture absorption. Most seats include a water
resistant liner between the outer material and foam,this can minimize
moisture absorption and prolong the foam life expectancy.
Custom Foam Custom Cumfy Foam is our own unique and proprietary blend of resilience, firmness, and vibration absorption foam making it well suited for a great range of applications. Note: Most seats will take between a couple of hours to a day to break-in the materials to be effective for the riders comfort. The Foam we use is off high quality and was made with the motorcyclist comfort in mind. In some cases you may need a little longer to receive its benefits, In cold weather you may find the seat feels quite hard and slightly uncomfortable. It may be slightly hard until your body heat warms the foam to its optimum temperature. After siting on the seat for a while you may find it becomes a little more comfortable. This is because the foam characteristics lends itself well to your body heat allowing it to operate the way it should. Some riders might require custom adjustments to specific areas like the inner thigh area. This can be a great advantage to the shorter ride that needs to get their feet closer to the ground for more support and stability. For a completely comfortable position sometimes we may like to have you sitting on the bike to get an idea on how to help you. We make these adjustments by reshaping the seat foam if required. Seat Frames Seat frames can become very neglected and rusty. The hooks holding the cover rust away and the cover can't be fastened any more. We can replace the hooks by placing them to one side of the rusty hooks in most cases. We can also sand blast your frame and repaint if required Some after market seat Bases are still around.
