Australian Cumfy Motor Cycle Seats Is a small business in Melbourne Australia and have been family owned and operated Since 19-81, under a different name (Reliable Retrim.) We changed our advertising name to reflect the type of work we do to give Motorcyclist a name to relate to.
We still trade under our original name Reliable Retrim, and cater for some Cars And Boats as well. We have over 40 years experience in Upholstering and feel confident that you the customer will walk away with a smile on your face.
This site is to give motorcyclists ideas on making improvements to the riding comfort for those that ride Motorcycles and Motor scooters. We also have options for individuals that would like to customize a motorcycle seat, or Motor scooter seats.
Seat lowering is quite common these days and many scooters and bikes can benefit from being lowered and reshaped. More control can be gained when stopped at intersections and uneven ground especially for the novice rider.
Customizing options may be a good option on Some late model bikes due to the lack of good quality seat foam. Some are too hard and others not enough foam or too soft. Some may benefit from a custom remodel.

Leather

Leather is extremely stylish and is preferred by some motorcyclists, ( it can be expensive.) We consider leather not to be the best long term seating option due to the harsh Australian environment. The leather used is UV treated to stand our changing weather. However the water repellent quality and suppleness tend to deteriorate over time and do not have very good heat stress and moisture absorption qualities, in order to retain it's suppleness it is necessary to regularly use leather food or dressing to minimize any heat stress and moisture absorption. Some seats can have a moisture barrier under the cover to prolong the foam life

Cumfy Foam
Cumfy Foam is our blend of foam making it well suited for a great range of applications and with motorcyclist comfort in mind.
Our foam is a memory foam and Stands up to the test of time.
We fit comfort pads to old and tired seats which gives them a new feel .
Many newer bikes can use the same process due to poor foam construction.
Customers are invited to bring the bike to us so we can see the siting position . This way we can find out where the trouble spots are and rectify those problems. Some times it may only be a small adjustment to the foam.

Seat Frames
Seat frames can become very neglected and rusty. The hooks holding the cover rust away and the cover can't be fastened any more.
We can replace the seat hooks by placing them to one side of the rusty hooks on metal bases in most cases.
Some plastic bases have the hooks fitted to hold the cover. These can also be replaced.
We can also sand blast your frame and repaint if required
Some after market seat Bases are still around. It takes a bit of looking but some can still be found.

Motorcycle seats can be very uncomfortable, seat alterations or custom motorcycle seats have helped many riders. We alter seats and saddles when appropriate to suite individual riders. This is done by seat foam reshaping in some cases and this may also be achieved by foam replacement if required for a comfortable motorcycle seat.
Some textured vinyl we use in Seat customising reduce passenger and rider from slipping forward. This is because seats get older and they can become slippery.
We also lower seats for the rider that may be a little short in the leg. Not all Motor bikes are suitable for seat customising and lowering modifications. Although they may still require seat repairs or replacement seat covers at some stage. Motorcycle seat and Motor scooter seat repairs can sometimes take as little as 2 days. Some seat upholstery can be quite extensive and take a week or two to complete.
After market seat covers supplied by the customer is a good option if needed quickly. It can be fitted by appointment by our seat cover service department.Same day service if required and when possible.
